Mary Earps Takes Paradise Holiday Amidst England Break

Decorated England goalkeeper Mary Earps has reportedly chosen a “reset in paradise,” opting for a sun-drenched holiday instead of joining the Lionesses camp for Euro 2025 preparations. At 32 years old, the two-time recipient of the FIFA Best Women’s Goalkeeper award has decided to make herself unavailable for national team selection, having previously earned 53 senior caps.

Earps played a pivotal role in England`s victorious European Championship campaign in 2022 and their journey to the World Cup final just a year later. Her impressive performances and popular personality also led to her winning the prestigious BBC Sports Personality of the Year award.

Her decision to step away from representing her country at this time has reportedly surprised many, with former teammates and coach Sarina Wiegman expressing astonishment at the larger-than-life character choosing to withdraw from the international scene.

Despite the commentary surrounding her decision, Earps appears to have few regrets. She has been enjoying a break in the Caribbean, sharing glimpses of herself relaxing by the pool, lounging on palm-fringed beaches, and experiencing local hospitality.

While Earps is enjoying “the most lovely reset,” England`s squad is focusing on defending their Euros title. Their Euro 2025 campaign is set to commence in Switzerland with their opening match against France on July 5th.
