The Edmonton Oilers are not anticipating the return of Connor McDavid and Leon Draisaitl anytime soon.

Head coach Kris Knoblauch mentioned after Monday`s practice that neither McDavid nor Draisaitl will be available for any of the team`s three games this week.

McDavid seemed to injure his lower body during last Thursday`s game against the Winnipeg Jets. He missed his final shift of the second period and did not return to the game.

Despite what is considered a less productive year for him, McDavid has accumulated 89 points (26 goals, 63 assists) in 62 games. He scored the overtime goal for Canada to win against the USA in the 4 Nations Face-Off final.

Draisaitl, on the other hand, sustained an undisclosed injury on March 18 in a game against Utah. He tops the league with 49 goals and leads the Oilers with 101 points.
