Montreal Canadiens Clinch Playoff Spot, Prepare for Capitals Showdown

Kaiden Guhle`s two goals propelled the Montreal Canadiens to a playoff berth with a vital 4-2 victory over the Carolina Hurricanes in their regular-season finale on Wednesday night.

Nick Suzuki contributed a goal and an assist, while Jake Evans scored into an empty net. Goaltender Sam Montembeault was solid, stopping 28 shots for Montreal (40-31-11), as they secured the last playoff position in the Eastern Conference.

The Canadiens are now set to face the Washington Capitals in the upcoming playoffs.
