Nazem Kadri Scores Overtime Winner as Flames Defeat Islanders

Jonathan Huberdeau contributed a goal and three points, while Nazem Kadri sealed the win in overtime as the Calgary Flames secured a 4-3 victory over the Islanders in New York.

NEW YORK — In a thrilling contest, Nazem Kadri delivered the decisive goal at 3:51 of overtime, propelling the Calgary Flames to a 4-3 win against the New York Islanders on Saturday.

Matt Coronato showcased his scoring touch with two goals, and Jonathan Huberdeau played a pivotal role with a goal and two assists for Calgary, marking their third consecutive victory. Goaltender Dan Vladar was solid in net, stopping 26 shots.

For the Islanders, Bo Horvat, Marc Gatcomb, and Kyle MacLean found the back of the net. Maxim Tsyplakov and Noah Dobson each contributed two assists. Goalie Marcus Hogberg made 31 saves as New York`s three-game winning streak came to an end, though they extended their point streak to five games (3-0-2).

Hogberg made a crucial save on Morgan Frost`s breakaway attempt just moments before Kadri capitalized and scored the game-winning goal for the Flames.
