New York Islanders’ AHL Affiliate Confirmed for Hamilton Move

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. – The American Hockey League (AHL) has announced a significant organizational change concerning the New York Islanders’ minor league franchise. Scott Howson, President and Chief Executive Officer of the AHL, confirmed that the league’s Board of Governors has unanimously approved the relocation of the Islanders’ affiliate from its current base in Bridgeport, Connecticut, to Hamilton, Ontario.

This strategic move marks a new chapter for the franchise, bringing professional hockey to Hamilton under the banner of the New York Islanders’ development system.
