NHL Roundup: Hurricanes’ Jarvis Shines with Two Goals Against Islanders

RALEIGH, N.C. — Seth Jarvis scored twice, Sebastian Aho contributed a goal and two assists, leading Carolina to a 6-4 victory over New York.

Dmitry Orlov, Mark Jankowski, and Logan Stankoven also found the net for Carolina, extending their winning streak to two games. Goaltender Pyotr Kochetkov made 27 saves.

Pierre Engvall scored twice for the Islanders, while Kyle Palmieri had a goal and an assist, and Anders Lee also scored. The Islanders have now suffered five consecutive losses (0-3-2). Bo Horvat provided two assists, and Marcus Hogberg stopped 24 shots.

Lee equalized the game at 4-4 early in the third period. However, Orlov put the Hurricanes back in the lead midway through the third, and Jarvis sealed the win with his second goal of the game, his 29th of the season, with just under three minutes remaining.
