Oilers Could Make Lineup Adjustments for Critical Game 4

As the Edmonton Oilers prepare for a pivotal Game 4 of the Stanley Cup Final on Thursday, head coach Kris Knoblauch indicated that changes to the lineup are a possibility.

Speaking with reporters on Wednesday, Knoblauch did not disclose specific details about who might be removed from the lineup but suggested that defenseman Troy Stetcher is expected to play.

The Oilers are aiming to recover and prevent the Florida Panthers from taking a commanding 3-1 lead in the series.

Adding to the pre-game questions is the starting goaltender situation for Game 4. Stuart Skinner struggled significantly in the 6-1 loss during Game 3, conceding five goals before being replaced. It remains uncertain whether Calvin Pickard will start in net instead.

Forward Ryan Nugent-Hopkins` availability is also uncertain; he is listed as a game-time decision due to an undisclosed injury. Despite his questionable status for Game 3, he did participate and played over 15 minutes of ice time. Nugent-Hopkins, a valuable offensive contributor, was absent from Tuesday`s practice, which the team described as a maintenance day.

He has been a productive player for the Oilers throughout the playoffs, adding important points to their campaign.

Currently, the Panthers hold a 2-1 advantage in the series.
