The Edmonton Oilers have added a new goaltender to their team due to an injury to Stuart Skinner.
Olivier Rodrigue has been called up from the AHL`s Bakersfield Condors on an emergency basis, the Oilers announced on Thursday.
To make room for Rodrigue, forward Derek Ryan has been sent down to Bakersfield.
Rodrigue, aged 24, has played 40 games for the Condors this season, recording a 3.05 goals-against average and a .899 save percentage. He is still waiting for his debut in the NHL.
Skinner`s game ended prematurely on Wednesday after he collided with Dallas Stars` Mikko Rantanen and took a knee to the head.
