
The Edmonton Oilers are bolstering their defensive corps with a promising young talent.
They have officially signed defenseman Damien Carfagna to a two-year, entry-level contract, starting from the 2025-26 season. The announcement was made on Monday.
Carfagna, aged 22, has spent the last two seasons playing college hockey for Ohio State University. During his time there, he demonstrated his offensive capabilities by scoring nine goals and accumulating 34 points. Prior to joining Ohio State, he honed his skills at the University of New Hampshire.
Most recently, Carfagna`s Ohio State team was knocked out of the NCAA championship tournament in the opening round by Boston University.
