Ottawa Senators Re-Sign Nick Cousins to One-Year Contract

The Ottawa Senators and forward Nick Cousins will continue their partnership.

The team announced on Tuesday that Cousins has signed a one-year contract with a value of $825,000.

Cousins, a 31-year-old veteran, played for the Senators during the 2024-25 season after joining the club as a free agent the previous summer. In 50 games, he registered six goals and 15 points.

Before his time in Ottawa, Cousins played for several other NHL teams, including the Florida Panthers, where he was a member of the 2024 Stanley Cup-winning squad. His previous teams also include the Nashville Predators, Vegas Golden Knights, Montreal Canadiens, Arizona Coyotes, and Philadelphia Flyers.

The native of Belleville, Ontario, was originally drafted by the Flyers 68th overall in the 2011 NHL Entry Draft.
