Former UFC light heavyweight champion Alex Pereira has announced he is not planning an immediate return to fighting, choosing instead to take a temporary break from his career.
Explaining his decision in an interview with UFC Brasil, Pereira said: “We will definitely talk to the UFC about my next fight soon. I don’t have an exact date yet, but there is already an idea on that. I took time off because I worked hard in 2024. I think my body is tired, I have a few injuries. So, I decided to slow down a bit, recover, and then return.”
Pereira most recently competed in March, losing his title to Magomed Ankalaev by unanimous decision.
