Physiev spoke about how he copes with defeats

UFC lightweight fighter Rafael Fiziev shared his thoughts on how he manages to handle losses in his career.

He explained, “Do defeats affect me? It`s definitely unpleasant when I start reflecting and thinking, `Wow, I`ve already accumulated three losses now. It feels like it`s been a long time since I last tasted victory.` I really want to win, I want to finish opponents faster.”

“Sometimes it gets frustrating,” Fiziev admitted, “and you think, `What a loser you are. How did you manage to lose three times?` But then you start to recall the circumstances. Two of those losses, like the one against Justin [Gaethje], resulted in `Fight of the Night` bonuses, which speaks to the quality of the fight. In another instance, I suffered a very serious injury – my knee just completely blew out – and because of that, I didn`t compete for nearly two years while I was recovering.”
