Pimblett Questions Topuria’s Opponent Strength

UFC lightweight contender Paddy Pimblett has voiced his opinion that former featherweight champion Ilia Topuria was matched against favorable opponents during his rise.

Pimblett elaborated on his perspective, stating: “I think he was matched with convenient opponents. Holloway barely made weight for featherweight after moving down from lightweight, Volka was actually knocked out three months before fighting him, Emmett was already 37 years old, and Bryce Mitchell is not a striker. Chandler would have beaten them all, and I probably would have beaten them too.” He added that he believes both Michael Chandler and himself could have defeated the same set of fighters.
