Dustin Poirier, former interim UFC lightweight champion, shared his thoughts on the upcoming bout against Max Holloway, a former champion in a lower weight class.

Scheduled for July 20th at UFC 318 in New Orleans, USA, this fight is intended to be `The Diamond“s final appearance in the octagon.

Dustin Poirier expressed his mindset, as quoted by ESPN: “I really want to enjoy the moment, to be in the moment. This will be my last opportunity to experience all these emotions: the jitters before the fight, walking to the octagon. This will not happen again in the future. So I want to put on a real show, to leave beautifully. Let this be the fight of the year. And I’m ready for the fact that I might need stitches.”
