Quinn, Sacco, Hennes in process of joining Rangers coaching staff under Sullivan

The New York Rangers are reportedly finalizing additions to their coaching staff under new head coach Mike Sullivan.

According to reports, Dave Quinn, Joe Sacco, and Ty Hennes are in the process of joining Sullivan`s team behind the bench.

Sullivan recently took over as head coach of the Rangers after mutually parting ways with the Pittsburgh Penguins. He steps in following the dismissal of Peter Laviolette, whose tenure ended after the team missed the playoffs.

For Dave Quinn, this would mark a return to New York. He previously served as the Rangers` head coach for three seasons before being fired in 2021. Following his initial departure from New York, Quinn coached the San Jose Sharks for three seasons and spent the past year as an assistant coach with Sullivan in Pittsburgh.

Joe Sacco comes to the Rangers after serving as the interim head coach for the Boston Bruins. He took over in November following the firing of Jim Montgomery and finished the season with a record of 25 wins, 30 losses, and 7 overtime losses. Sacco had been part of the Bruins organization since 2014.

Ty Hennes has a history of working with Mike Sullivan. He has been on Sullivan`s coaching staff with the Pittsburgh Penguins since 2018, initially focusing on skills coaching before being promoted to an assistant coach role in 2022.
