Red Wings Cruise to Victory Over Utah, Breaking Road Skid

SALT LAKE CITY — In a game where Alex Lyon stepped up with 16 saves after replacing injured starter Petr Mrazek, the Detroit Red Wings sailed to a win against Utah.

Lyon took over goaltending duties early in the first period when Mrazek left the ice at 1:38 due to an apparent lower body injury. The injury occurred after a collision with Dylan Guenther during a breakaway attempt. Mrazek was seen limping as he left for the locker room.

Detroit`s offense was powered by goals from Elmer Soderblom, Marco Kasper, Austin Watson, Alex DeBrincat, and Tyler Motte. These goals helped the Red Wings bring an end to their six-game losing streak on the road.

For Utah, Dylan Guenther marked a milestone by reaching 100 career points with his 26th goal of the season. Goalie Karel Vejmelka recorded nine saves in his 14th consecutive start, a career-high.
