Rockhold Skeptical of Makhachev’s Welterweight Dominance

Former UFC middleweight champion Luke Rockhold commented on lightweight titleholder Islam Makhachev`s potential move up to the welterweight category.

Speaking in an interview with Submission Radio, Rockhold shared his perspective:

“I think he will not dominate so much. But I am sure Islam has become stronger, bigger. A lot of time has passed since our joint training sessions. We are all growing, in every sense. I think Islam will look good with welterweights. He will gain muscle mass.”

Rockhold also recalled their past interactions, stating, “But I have always had problems with Islam. When I fought Machida, I took Makhachev for sparring. And it was not easy to deal with him.”
