Seguin Scores OT Winner as Stars Beat Avalanche in Game 3

Tyler Seguin delivered the winning goal at 5:31 into overtime, propelling the Dallas Stars to a 2-1 victory over the Colorado Avalanche in Game 3 on Wednesday night. This crucial win gives Dallas a 2-1 advantage in the first-round series.

The Stars` dramatic finish followed their successful penalty kill of a late double-minor assessed to Mason Marchment in the final minute of regulation. Marchment redeemed himself by assisting Seguin`s overtime tally.

Jamie Benn had previously tied the game for Dallas late in the third period, forcing the extra frame. The victory marks the second consecutive overtime win for the Stars.

The game also featured the return of Avalanche captain Gabriel Landeskog to action.

Game 4 is scheduled to take place on Saturday night, once again in Denver.
