Seth Jones and the Panthers: A Revitalizing Trade Success

Seth Jones vividly recalls a memory from his childhood, when he was just six years old, sitting high up in the stands.

His father, Popeye Jones, had his entire family there to witness Joe Sakic`s momentous achievement. Young Seth, situated near the blue line in the lower seating area of Denver`s Pepsi Center, watched the captain of his favorite team receive the 2001 Stanley Cup trophy following a grueling Game 7 victory.

“Seeing Sakic pass the Cup to Ray Bourque was, in my opinion, one of the most special moments we`ve witnessed in this league,” notes Jones. He is now experiencing his own first appearance in the Stanley Cup Final as a member of the Florida Panthers.

He believes this specific moment served as a significant turning point, inspiring not only him but also many other young athletes in the developing youth hockey community of Colorado to pursue the sport.
