The Dallas Stars could receive a significant boost as they prepare to face the Winnipeg Jets in the second round of the Stanley Cup Playoffs. The team might see the return of a key offensive player.
Forward Jason Robertson, who has been absent from the lineup since April 16 due to a knee injury, is now being considered a game-time decision for Game 1 of the series. Stars head coach Peter DeBoer announced this update following the team`s morning skate on Wednesday.
The 25-year-old forward was observed participating in the team`s optional practice session, suggesting his potential readiness to play.
However, coach DeBoer also confirmed that defenseman Miro Heiskanen will not be available for Game 1. Heiskanen has not played since January 28.
Robertson skated alongside teammates Wyatt Johnston and Mason Marchment during practice on Tuesday. He finished the regular season strong, placing second on the Stars in points with 80 and leading the team with 35 goals.
Game 1 between Dallas and Winnipeg is scheduled to take place Wednesday evening in Winnipeg.
