Former UFC bantamweight champion Aljamain Sterling has voiced his opinion that promising fighter Bo Nikalu should consider moving to a different weight division.
Sterling shared his thoughts on social media platform X, explaining his rationale:
“I don’t like it, but I was right, the size difference at 84 kg is evident. I fought at 60 kg, then moved to 64 kg. Somehow I managed to make 61 kg. The top 15 in the middleweight are noticeably bigger than him in the cage. Anyone who thinks otherwise should pay closer attention. I’m a big fan of wrestling and Nikalu, but this conversation needs to happen.”
Sterling highlighted the significant size disparity Bo Nikalu appears to face competing at 84 kg (middleweight), drawing a comparison to his own experiences adjusting weight classes earlier in his career. He stressed that fighters within the middleweight top 15 look visibly larger than Nikalu inside the octagon and urged observers to notice this difference.
