Svitolina, Raducanu, and Kenin to Headline Rouen Open

The 2025 Open Capfinances Rouen Métropole will feature a strong lineup, headlined by Elina Svitolina, the former WTA Finals champion. Grand Slam winners Emma Raducanu and Sofia Kenin will also join her in the main draw of this WTA 250 clay-court event, commencing on April 14. Another Grand Slam champion, Bianca Andreescu, is set to participate in the qualifying rounds.

This tournament will mark the Rouen debut for all four players. Svitolina, Raducanu, and Kenin are all aiming to regain their Top 10 form, showing promising performances in 2025. Svitolina is currently ranked No. 22 and has reached the quarterfinals at both the Australian Open and Indian Wells this year. Raducanu, currently at No. 60, is projected to return to the Top 50 after reaching the Miami quarterfinals. Kenin, the 2020 Australian Open champion, is ranked No. 46 after a quarterfinal appearance in Doha in February.

Andreescu, winner of the 2019 US Open, will be competing for the first time since October, when she reached the quarterfinals in Tokyo. Her start to the 2025 season was delayed due to an emergency appendectomy. This comeback follows a previous nine-month layoff due to a back injury last May.

French tennis veteran Alizé Cornet, former world No. 11, will make her professional comeback in Rouen after retiring at Roland Garros last year. She has been awarded a wild card, along with Caroline Garcia, the 2022 WTA Finals champion.
