Former UFC featherweight champion Ilia Topuria has not ruled out the possibility of moving up to compete in the welterweight division.
Speaking at a recent press conference, Topuria addressed the subject directly: “Moving to welterweight? Sure, why not? It depends on whether the fans want to see my fight in welterweight. And whether I have a titleholder company. I fight to entertain people. Obviously, I also need to be motivated by the challenge, so I do not close the door to welterweight. If an opportunity arises and there is an exciting fight, I agree.”
