Ilia Topuria has addressed his strong words directed at Charles Oliveira, the former UFC lightweight champion from Brazil.
According to Topuria, his remarks were not intended as insults but as factual observations. He pointed out Oliveira`s record of 10 losses and referenced Oliveira`s past in welterweight, where he was defeated by Cub Swanson. Topuria`s comments were reported by Bloody Elbow.
This comes after Topuria`s decision to vacate his featherweight title and transition to competing in the lightweight division.
