Ilia Topuria, the former UFC featherweight champion, has stated his desired timing for a fight against Islam Makhachev, the current UFC lightweight titleholder.
Topuria expressed his preference for a summer showdown. However, he clarified that if a summer fight isn`t feasible, he is prepared to compete for the championship in the fall. He emphasized that he is not considering any other options besides these two timeframes.
It`s worth noting that Topuria previously relinquished his featherweight belt and has since moved up to compete in the lightweight division.
