UFC featherweight champion Ilia Topuria has shared his perspective on the challenges of organizing a UFC event in Spain.

According to Topuria, the primary obstacle is television rights. For a significant UFC tournament to be held outside the United States, it needs to broadcast during prime time in America. This would mean a very early morning start time in Spain, around 4-5 a.m.

Topuria stated, “I don`t believe it`s realistic to host a tournament at night in Spain. Even as a fighter, I am not prepared for such conditions. I have previous experience fighting in similar circumstances in Abu Dhabi, and I honestly do not wish to repeat it.”
