Ilia Topuria, the former UFC featherweight champion who has recently transitioned to the lightweight division, has stated clearly that he would not give Islam Makhachev an immediate fight for the title should Makhachev decide to move up in weight.
Topuria elaborated on his position, stating, “Who did what they promised? As soon as I have the belt, he can stand in line. It’s long, and many eyes are burning.”
