Former UFC welterweight champion Kamaru Usman has shared his thoughts on Paddy Pimblett`s recent victory against Michael Chandler at UFC 314 in Miami, USA.

Usman acknowledged Pimblett`s imperfections in striking and overall rawness as a fighter. However, he highlighted the significant improvement in Pimblett`s grappling skills, elevating them to an “elite level.” Usman believes that if Pimblett continues his ascent to the top of the lightweight division, his grappling will become a key weapon to overcome opponents.

Despite recognizing potential vulnerabilities against top-tier fighters, Usman emphasized the need to respect Pimblett`s accomplishments and winning streak. Usman made these comments on his YouTube channel.

The fight saw Pimblett secure a knockout victory over Chandler in the third round.
