The Vancouver Canucks have secured forward Conor Garland with a significant long-term contract.
The club announced on Tuesday that the forward has inked a six-year extension with an average annual value (AAV) of $6 million, totaling $36 million.
According to Canucks General Manager Patrik Allvin in a team news release, “Conor is a vital part of our team who has stepped up his role over the last two seasons.”
Allvin praised Garland`s commitment and playing style, adding, “His willingness to sign this contract reflects his belief in our team`s direction and vision. He consistently brings fierce competitiveness, drives offensive action, is relentless on the forecheck, and poses a significant challenge for opponents. Garland is becoming a leader within the squad, pushing himself and his teammates to perform.”
