The Vancouver Canucks organization has strengthened its defensive roster by adding blue-liner Pierre-Olivier Joseph.
The club announced on Wednesday that Joseph has agreed to a one-year contract with the team, carrying a value of $775,000.
Joseph, aged 26, divided the previous season between the St. Louis Blues and the Pittsburgh Penguins. Across 47 games, he contributed three assists.
A native of Laval, Quebec, Joseph was initially drafted 23rd overall by the Arizona Coyotes in the 2017 NHL Entry Draft. He began his NHL career with the Penguins during the 2020-21 season.
To date, he has participated in a total of 194 National Hockey League games, recording eight goals and 32 assists.
