Former UFC middleweight champion Robert Whittaker is strongly advocating for the prompt organization of a match between Islam Makhachev and Ilia Topuria.
In a recent MMArcade podcast, Whittaker commented, “I`m unsure of the promises made to Topuria by the UFC. However, if an athlete willingly vacates a title and switches weight divisions, they should be positioned at the summit of their new weight class. I firmly believe Topuria should be granted a title shot without delay.”
