The Minnesota Wild are adding more highly-rated talent to their roster.
Defenseman Zeev Buium has agreed to a three-year entry-level contract with the Wild, as announced by the team on Sunday.
Elliotte Friedman of Sportsnet initially reported that Buium might make his debut as soon as Tuesday against the Anaheim Ducks.
This top defensive prospect`s NCAA season concluded on Thursday when the Denver Pioneers were defeated in the Frozen Four semifinals in double overtime by the Western Michigan Broncos, who eventually became champions.
Buium had an exceptional NCAA season, scoring 13 goals and totaling 48 points in 40 games.
With the Wild close to securing a playoff spot, Buium`s arrival could strengthen their defensive lineup.
