Wolf and Flames Remain Upbeat After Heartbreaking Overtime Loss

CALGARY – Despite a tough overtime loss, Calgary Flames goalie Dustin Wolf is keeping his spirits high.

Following a painful defeat, Wolf was seen processing the emotional sting of losing in overtime.

In a game filled with unfortunate bounces for the Flames, Vegas Golden Knights` Reilly Smith, from behind the net, sent a pass that deflected off MacKenzie Weegar`s skate and then off Wolf`s arm, securing a critical point against the determined Flames.

As fans left the charged arena, concerned about the impact on their team`s playoff hopes, Wolf shared a surprisingly positive outlook.

“We are the underdogs,” Wolf stated after the 3-2 loss to Vegas, a game where his team rallied from a 2-0 deficit and faced yet another video review that disallowed a Flames goal.

“At the start of the season, everyone predicted we would be at the bottom, but now we`re in the fight, pushing hard to get into the playoffs.”

“And you know what? We are going to make it.”

“This loss is tough, but we are focused on the next game.”

The team`s confidence remains strong, unshaken by the unlucky goal or the controversial video review, reminiscent of a similar incident earlier in the week against Utah.
