Zayne Parekh Joins Flames Players at World Championship

Zayne Parekh, a rising star in the Calgary Flames organization, is set to participate in the international hockey scene.

It is anticipated that this talented prospect will compete in pre-tournament games for the men`s world championships held in Sweden this summer, as confirmed by Pat Steinberg of Sportsnet on Sunday.

Parekh, aged 19, recently debuted in the NHL on Thursday during the Flames` final regular-season game against the Los Angeles Kings. His debut was impactful, highlighted by scoring his first NHL goal in the third period.

Notably, Parekh, who hails from Nobleton, Ontario, was surprisingly not included in the Canadian team for the 2024 world junior championships, where Canada finished fifth.

The Calgary Flames will have a strong presence at the world championships, with MacKenzie Weegar (Canada), Rasmus Andersson (Sweden), Matt Coronato (USA), and Dan Vladar (Czech Republic) also confirmed to be participating in Sweden.
