Gas Sales Bluenergy Piacenza secured a crucial 3-1 road victory against Valsa Group Modena in the third game of the SuperLega Credem Banca quarterfinals, establishing a 2-1 lead in the best-of-five series.
Piacenza started strong, winning the first set 25-17. However, Modena quickly equalized by taking the second set with the identical score of 25-17. Piacenza regained momentum, claiming the third set 25-20, and then clinched the match in a tightly contested fourth set, ending 30-28.
For Piacenza, Mandiraci was the top scorer with 19 points, supported by Gutierrez (13), Bovolenta (12), and Simon (12). Modena's offensive efforts were spearheaded by Porro, who also scored 19 points, and Davyskiba with 16.
The fourth game of the series is scheduled for March 22, where Piacenza will have the opportunity to secure a series victory on their home court.
