BIAF 2026: 34th Florence International Antiques Biennale
Bruno Botticelli, General Secretary of the Florence International Antiques Biennale (BIAF) since April, has officially announced the dates for the 34th edition of this historic event. The 34th BIAF is scheduled to take place from Saturday, September 26, to Sunday, October 4, 2026. As in previous years, the prestigious exhibition will be hosted within the magnificent Palazzo Corsini, nestled in the heart of Florence.
Botticelli expressed his enthusiasm, stating, "It is a great honor for me, in my new role as General Secretary, to confirm the return of the Biennale. Since its inception in 1959, BIAF has served as the paramount global stage for Italian art and antiques. I aspire for BIAF to become an increasingly indispensable fixture for Florence, an event simply not to be missed. Much like the 'Scoppio del Carro' at Easter, the grand premieres of Maggio Musicale, the Calcio Storico in Santa Croce, Pitti events, and the major exhibitions at Florentine museums—all these, including the Biennale, draw an international audience to Florence who possess a deep appreciation for art, antiques, music, and beauty. This continued success is made possible through the invaluable support of institutions, long-standing sponsors (and hopefully new ones), and the cultivation of ever-stronger synergies and collaborations with the city's economic and cultural sectors."
Distinguished as the only fair of its kind globally to be held within a historic palace—Palazzo Corsini—right in the heart of Florence, BIAF is poised to welcome collectors, institutions, and passionate art enthusiasts. Since 1959, the Biennale has stood as the definitive international showcase for Italian art and antiques, effectively bridging historical excellence with dynamic new collaborations within Florence's vibrant cultural and economic landscape. Under the leadership of the new General Secretary, Bruno Botticelli, the 2026 edition promises to attract a global audience captivated by beauty, fortified by institutional backing, generous sponsorship, and increasingly robust partnerships. This highly anticipated event will once again celebrate the profound grandeur of Florence and its pivotal, enduring role in the international art world.
