Sir Susa Vim Perugia commenced their SuperLega Credem Banca playoff campaign with a remarkable comeback victory, overcoming Vero Volley Monza 3-1 in the opening match of their Scudetto Quarterfinals series at Pala Barton.
The final score was Perugia 3-1 Monza, with set scores of 21-25, 25-20, 25-16, and 25-17.
Monza began the match with considerable momentum, securing the first set 25-21. Their early success was largely driven by the offensive prowess of Diego Frascio, who finished as the match's top scorer with 19 points, and Martin Atanasov, who contributed 18 points.
However, Sir Susa Vim Perugia found their stride from the second set onwards. Under the leadership of captain Simone Giannelli, the home team significantly enhanced their offensive efficiency, seizing control of the match.
